The next morning, Saturday, November 17th from 11am to 1.30pm there will be a children’s book launch at the Universal Bookshop in Portals Nous. It’s for a beautifully illustrated children’s reading/bedtime book called “The Rescue” by Wendy Balfour. It’s going to be a child-friendly event of course, so take the kids. This weekend in Son Antem Golf on the 15, 16 and 17th November there will be the First Wheelchair Golf Open Championship Mallorca 2018, players from 21 countries, and 5 continents will be on the course. The event is organised by Handisport Mallorca.
On Thursday 15th and 22nd November, you can join a beginner’s Powerlifting Workshop run by Elspeth Storrar. The workshop is suited to anyone interested in developing strength. Every Weds St Andrews, (next to Burger King) in Puerto Pollensa, has a coffee morning from 10.30 – 1pm. We are now serving hot soup and Gluten Free Cake. This week the Cats Protection League will also be there for fundraising and information.

From 10 till 3 pm on Saturday 17th at The Anglican Church in Palma. Attractions include live music, the Christmas Choir from BIC, lots of stalls selling potential gifts, crafts, decorations, mince pies and so on. Games like Guess the Weight of the cake, Lucky Dip, and Tombola. Father Christmas will be there! They will also have a silent auction for some more valuable items including folding bikes, and some lovely prints and jewellery.
